I like what I see at times of Stamenic but it is a bit of a quandary as to where to play him, with us playing with three in the middle do we play him high or forward at the tip of a triangle and have workers and runners off him in attack mode while those runners do most of the defensive work. We have seen he has scored a small number of well taken goals and also be able to use any space given to turn allowing distribution though the middle of the park. I not saying he is as good as a Hoddle, Waddle, Brooking or Kennedy but does he have similar traits. That triangle must be to rotates to allow cover for forward runs while going forward at times two of the three to advance forward instead of our fullbacks.

We might be playing him centre-half for the next few games. Not sure what the news is on Cabango, but first he couldn't drive, then he couldn't walk! We need an experienced old head in there somewhere, so probably Fulton as a stop gap, but possibly Stamenic as well. Long term, we need to solve the midfield riddle. Our three worst players at the weekend, based on ratings, were Just 4.9, Opoku 5.2 and Yeo 5.3. With Ronald and Walta out of favour, we have a major problem brewing in mid-field. Long term, I'd like to see him have a more attacking role and add a bit of physicality. | | | |

Honestly I'm still not sure what all the fuss is about.
He's decent at some things, but nowhere near good or influential enough to have a team built around him as we appear to be doing. I'm getting heavy Grimes MK2 vibes. All these people are praising him and I'm sitting there wondering what for.
He's not an AM, and even more obviously not a DM. He can do a good job in the middle but honestly I'd prefer Franco or Widell. |  |
