Someone posted a link on the site last week which meant you could circumvent paywalls if you go through it. Can someone remember what it was? |  |

I didn’t see that post, but turning off Java Script can get you past some pay walls to reead newspapers etc.
Go to a site you want to read. On an Apple device, go in to Settings, scroll down to the Apps section at the bottom, click on it and then a list of Apps will appear. Go to the Safari App, open it and scroll all the way down to the bottom to the Advanced tab. Click on that and it will open a new screen, go to the Java Script slider and turn it off. You should then be able to refresh the screen in your browser and open the article you want to read. When you’re done, tab backwards to the original site /page you landed on. When you’re completely finished reading that particular site, turn Java Script back on and you’ll be able to type in the search bar and search for other sites or whatever. If you don’t turn it back on you may not be able to browse. Sounds complicated, but it isn’t. Works on the Daily Telegraph and some other publications.
My iPad is getting on a bit, so the steps I’ve outlined may differ for people with newer machines and those using Android, but the basic concept is the same. [Post edited 31 Aug 21:45]

Click 3dots top right corner. Then click open in another browser. Then click 3 dots again. Then click open in reading mode. Job done 👍..this is assuming you are in about wales online etc [Post edited 1 Sep 12:40]
