Well done Gerry, had a great game last night and pulled off some great saves to put us through to the last 32, felt sorry for him with the goal that was conceded as his defense let him down big time.

Keep up the good work ginger balls

As we saw last year, he only really came into form when he had a good run of games. It's difficult for any player to perform well when they are only playing 1 game in 4.

One of our cheap options that has proved a huge success, very well done last night,in reality saved us from a some what embarrassing defeat.

Even more so when the back four keeps changing.

Poll: Should Huw Jenkins step down?

Great thread good to see credit where it is due, especially impressive in such difficult conditions with the ball flying all over the place.

Thought Bony put himself around a lot a.s well - very happy with that

Yeah, great work by Tremmel - we could easily have been 2 down by half time had it not been for him! :)

The only thing he's really done wrong since coming in (that I can remember. May be wrong) is that punch against Valencia. Vorm does that all the time.

We could have done a hell of a lot worse for a backup keeper and I'm not convinced that bringing another one in is a good idea.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Quality game! Raises optomism and confidence. Back 4 let him down massively, but through to next stage, tidy!

Building it up in black and white since 1996!

Good Post, nice to see Gerry get some credit for a great performance.

he had a very good game. the goal wasn't his fault but the defence that wasn't tight as they should be.

If he can keep this level, he's more than capable of guarding the goal. The only issue I see is that Laudrup would feel forced to get an extra pair of hands in because of Vorms injury and for some reason doesn't feel Zabret is old enough to stand in. (which seems a bit odd to me given that we have Ben doing super well on the team and getting on the roster for real at 19, which is only one year older than Zabret is now)

Plastic since 2012
