As you say, it doesn't matter now, but in the last two games we had 4 yellow cards and Fulham had 5, so we may well have taken the available place.
I wonder what would have happened if it was clear that the PL was going to get the Fair Play place in the Europa League and we were one yellow card better off than Fulham going into the last game. Would the players be given instructions to avoid all chances of being booked? Of course, that would be a bit of a lottery with Chris Foy in charge... |  | | |
