Last year I opted to pay mine and my wife's car tax by direct debit. We are about to change her car and I don't know what to do about stopping paying for her old car or how to do it? |  |

When your wife has sold the car go here:
https://www.gov.uk/sold-bought-vehicle
Once you tell DVLA that it's sold it automatically cancels the direct debit so you don't have to do anything else or with the logbook apart from just give it to the buyer. That's what I did with mine. |  | | |

Once you tell DVLA that it's sold it automatically cancels the direct debit so you don't have to do anything else or with the logbook apart from just give it to the buyer. That's what I did with mine. |
