Never heard of that one.

I knew of the Irish pub goers in the late 1960s, where on a Saturday night when they’d really go for it, they’d have a pint of Guinness with a raw egg in it. Not mixed up or anything, just sitting there at the bottom of the glass until being swallowed with the last mouthful of porter.

Apparently the idea was to assist them when they got home to the landlady they’d be lodging with.

It started on a farm locally, and has spread like wildfire.
