Sam is 65 years old. Ideally he wantsto work November to April and be paid mainly in bonus payements. At WBA he may have negiociated a say £5m bonus to keep them up. WBA might not value the achievement of returning at that level and the perhaps £1m bonus to return was not enough to interest Sam for a full 12 month season.
If Swansea cough up a £5m bonus to get Swansea up plus some transfer funds (£15m) he will be on the M42 M50 to Swansea. |  |
