Cameron Evans update Waterford 01:39 - Sep 7 with 1009 viewsKeithHaynes

Cameron Evans has been on loan to Irish Premier Division side Waterford FC since February, and quickly cemented himself as a starter.

Since the beginning of the EFL football season, Evans has made five starts in five games, netting once for the Blues in the process.

The defender is set to make his Swansea return later this year.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Hard to complain at this. He has also experince of living in a foreign country which is great for a youngster. He has got a soild 18 games under his belt where as Oliver Cooper has only 3 or 4 and he is much younger. RoI is a summer leagues so players like Oliver Cooper or Daniel Williams could have played in this leagues and still been available for the first team or go on loan after a rest.

I would like to see promising player turn out for DC United. Players like McFadyan for example . Fringe first teamers. Some on here argue they are a level below Swansea. Young Cameron or Lativbeaudire even would walk the MLS if that is true. Prhaps ths will be easier to manage after Covid.

Why would they waste a valuable international player spot on an unproven youngster who can't get into the first team of a side in England's second tier?

Fair point but many on here tell us the proven USA internationals were no where near good enough to play in England's Second tier, Morris was the MLS best player in one recent season and Arriola has a scored 7 international goals.

Mr Cooper was clearly not impressed at his US duffers. Based on this theory Latibeaudirere could have played 30 games last season for DC United at a canter instead of an odd cameo or two.
