Swansea City v Barnsley : On our way to Wembley 2012 22nd Nov 2021 13:00
We look back on a 3-1 defeat for Barnsley as they took on Swansea City on their way to winning the League Cup in 2013. The swans first major trophy honour in the clubs history. It was a great night for Luke Moore who took the game by the scruff of the neck and ensured the swans went through to the third round. 0

I following Turkish football a little from afar. Moore went out there in his last playing role and did not make much of an impression.

Ex Swansea currently playing in Turkey include.

Fabio Borini Fatih Karagumluk (Istanbul) He started well but has not featured recently.

Leroy Fer Alanyapor 3-4 games so far. on bench on weekend.

Steven Caulker . one of them most successful English players in TC. 80 games now with Fenerbahce on loan at Gaziantep in eastern Turkey. He has matured after some personal struggles it seems. Bravo to him.

British players find it difficult to settle in TC but Caulker has done. Ex Swnsea coach Mike Marsh had a very short spell Bright Osayi Samuel plays for Fenerbahce but is homesick like many before and was looking to return.

Wise sage since Toshack era
Poll: Do Swansea city have enough centre backs?

The Mike Marsh story will be one hell of a book one day.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
