I have not studied transfer fee rules but I see no reason why Spurs have to clear all their debts to Swansea when he is sold unless it was part of the terms. Teams seem to prefer staggered payments.
There could be a percentage sell on clause for any profit over £11m but the much lauded Mr Levy can probably squeeze not much more out of Brighton then Mr Winter could out of Levy. Hard to predict fees but no more than £15m at a guess.
£20m would be nice giving Swansea perhaps 10% of the profit just under £1m. Swansea could get that money now by using the Australian bank's services.
