Won't be back until Christmas unless we recall him.
I've watched a few Dundalk games, it's not a great standard and he's not really stood out as yet. They play direct and he's not shown the ability to calm the game down himself, things get frantic and he gets carried away. Seen it happen with Wales u21s as well, when he would go to ground in every challenge and rush ambitious balls forward. Picked up a few bookings and not sure he's completed 90 minutes yet. But still early days over there.
Ollie Cooper has been showing the ability to effect games at Newport, maybe more under Flynn when he would play up behind the strikers than under Rowberry who plays him either left or right of a flat three in midfield. Seems an easy fit into Martin's system. | | | |
