Injuries and lacked some of Cooper's "non-negotiables". Potter preferred him to Fulton and even Fer by the end. Would have suited our slower, more technical play this season.

Had a nice shot on him. Not much else as far as I could tell.

I'm wary of labelling players as only capable of playing at a certain level because not every manager/system suits every player, but I've never seen much in Byers to suggest that he's capable of offering anything to a side with ambitions of exiting the Championship the right way.
