Hoping to catch it on Sunday , I’ll be cycling down rather than trying to find somewhere to park . One year I watched it from Kilvey hill but it’s just at the edge of the display so not a great viewing platform. Hopefully blue skies on the day and packed beach will make for a good day out

We've given upon it, it's the same stuff all the time. There'll be plenty down there though, specially if the weather is good.

Luckily I have the weekend off so won't be working in town cos it'll be a busy one. The car parks will be rammed to start with and parking in town is hard and expensive, unless you can get in a council car park.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

I never tire of watching the red arrows and BoB memorial flight ,The Vulcan as well was a cracking display although not sure what the star turn is this year .

By the look 20 quid for parking in the rec, next to St Helens. Is that Swansea Council recouping costs?

I love the BoB too, there is something special in watching the Lancaster, Hurri and Spit fly past. The engines have a sepcial sound to them and they represent something this country has largely forgotten, it seems to me. That is specifically, the spirit to just get on with life. Some people seem happy to just roll over, there's always somebody else to blame besides themselves.

All through my child hood I was enthralled by the stories of the RAF , which went as far as wearing (easily available in the late sixties) Ex RAF battle dress jacket blue shirt and a bloody tie , yearly trips to RAF St Athan which held BoB day and read as much as I could , yet when I left school I joined the Army . I still read and watch anything containing those aircraft of that period ,, one at the moment is Tom Neil’s Gun button to Fire , true bravery

That’s a disgusting price mate.

Have you also read "The Silver Spitfire" by Neil?

The personal stories from the war are often incredible.

To be honest, an air show with all the modern stuff doesn't interest me as much as the WW2 stuff.

The RAF Typhoon Team has regularly been participating in the airshow for several years but this year has disappeared from the line-up. The reason for this is they are already booked for another International Airshow elsewhere in Portugal.

The Beja International Airshow which runs on the same weekend, July 2-3, will play host to the RAF Typhoon Team in a similar show. It is not yet known if the Typhoon Team will return to future Wales Airshows.
