Swansea City Under-18s are back in Professional Development League action on Saturday (12pm) as they take on Coventry City Under-18s at Landore Training Ground.

In their last outing, the Swans were edged to a 2-1 defeat at Barnsley, with Iwan Morgan pulling a goal back for the away side.

Coventry City kick off their league campaign tomorrow, after finishing third overall in their north division last season.

Swansea City Under-18s coach Darren Davies said: "We’ve reviewed Saturday’s game and there were definitely learning moments in that game.

"It's the first home game of the season, they boys are in good spirits and look forward to implementing what we've been working on the past week.

"It was an entertaining game against them last season, and I'm sure they will be putting up another performance like that tomorrow."

Swansea City 1 - 1 Coventry City

Swansea City Under-18s shared the points with Coventry City Under-18s, with both sides netting in an entertaining draw at Landore.

Byron Anthony’s side opened the scoring through Iwan Morgan, who had scored the late winner in the side’s first fixture of the season against Barnsley Under-18s, but could not secure all three points following Coventry’s equaliser.

After an encouraging first 20 minutes, striker Morgan put the hosts up a goal to the good, getting on the end of Charlie Veevers’ slick threaded pass and slotting the ball to the left of the keeper.

But the Sky Blues answered back just five minutes later, with midfielder Craig Hewitt skipping past a white shirt and firing home from long range, placing the ball just a hair out of keeper Ben Hughes’ reach.

Lost again 1-2. I keep waiting for this team to kick on but they do not. For some reason all the underage take several weeks at the start of each season to get going.
