Swansea City Under-21s return to Professional Development League Action as they set to face Cardiff City at Leckwith Stadium on Tuesday (1pm kick-off).
The Swans came out on top in their most recent outing, as they comfortably beat Colchester United 4-1 last Saturday at Landore Training Ground, with goals from Josh Thomas, Tarrelle Whittaker and Ruben Davies.
The Bluebirds come into the fixture on the back of a 2-1 win against Reading after two consecutive losses against Queens Park Rangers and Bristol City.
Swansea City Under-21's coach Anthony Wright said: "I think I've always said it is just another game. Obviously, from the outside, people put a lot on it.
"There will be a little bit more grip from the game, I suppose, because it is Swansea against Cardiff. But we'll go up there and try to do exactly what we do week in week out.
"It is really important that we try and control the game, exactly how we've done over the past couple of weeks.
"When we get the opportunities to put the ball into the back of the net, hopefully, we can do that. We'll take the momentum from the Exeter win and carry that on. The plan is to get the three points." |  |

Watched the game. Josh Thomas's stupidity cost Swansea the game as they were dominant for long periods even with 10 men. Somebody should explain to Josh that it is traditional for people in blue shirts to lose the rag not white ones. Josh has cost Swansea u21 a lot of wins with erratic finishing and behaviour.
Cardiff won with some excellent goals and a needless penalty gifted by Mitchell in goal. Crole is a strong no 9 for them.
Positives.
Cotterill and Lloyd were excellent. Abdullai links nicely with those two, Williams scored from two sep plays and is a beast. McFadyan was excellent in the first half in particular. He hit the crossbar and got his body in a twist for a simple rebound. Joe Thomas is neat and tidy and tall.
Negatives
Ogbeta was not prominent. Whittaker was weak and generally poor messing up a number of breakaways being easily brushed off the ball. I was surprised he was not replaced. He is tidy but weak with little pace. Mitchell and Cooper were messing about with that useless goal kick routine which is just poorly designed.
Cardiff's keeper was better than Mitchell and saved them on a number of occasions Lloyd hit the post and Swansea generally missed the rebounds and free balls in the box. in Thomas's absence.
They are playing a neat passing game and had a number of elegant passing transitions ending in a chance. Cardiff were just more ruthless with their finishing against 10 men.
