Joel Cotterill signs a new long term deal. Swansea deserve credit for the way they keep the talented kids at the club. It must be a combination of love, faith, empathy economics and opportunity. Still only 18 and out in Denmark with Wales u21.
Having watch wretched Wales under Page not able to do the basics of possession and ball retention I would like to see Swansea players drag the national team out of a sorry slump. The 'Welsh way' was notionally a possession based game of movement possession and pace with Gary Speed in the driving seat. Sadly it has become i just PR belching by PR people in the FAW. Spin which deceived the fan base which worked at g filling seats while the team declined.

Cotterill must be highly rated as he has another three years+. Hopefully all the Swansea 5 C's boys can drag Cymru back to proper football. Cabango, Cullen, Cooper, Congreve and Cotterill. Throw in Lloyd as well.
I watched Wales u19. Under the cosh v Sweden the very capable Welsh coach Rob Edwards brought on 16 year old Dan Watts. He immediately made an impression. Kept possession created space and made life a lot easier for the Welsh lads changing the dynamic. great to see.

A 2-2 draw today. Wales did not go for the throat at 2-1 v 10 men and 2-2 v 9 men. Congreve missed an easy tight angle finish and Savage a one on one with an exceptional save. A good draw but chances to bury a good team away do not come up that often.
I like Josh Thomas and he need to step up now. He came on as sub. A south wales Paul Mullen. Strong quite fast and aggressive. His finishing has improved noticeably.

I was…u19 did well, reckon some of these would do ok in the main team….be nice to think we might have some more young Ramsey and Allen’s coming through, a Bale is a tad unlikely….. |  | | |
