I think it both fascinating and frightening in equal measures.

I agree that the use of data is of interest, I listened to a decent popcast recently that outlined how data is collected and shared, everywhere and with everyone and that data from neighbours, friends and relatives is used to predict what you are likely to be interested in. Devices with a microphone are used to colllect data if they are turned on or off.
The notion that a streaming service is better at knowing your sexuality than you are is pure horsesh1t. [Post edited 14 Aug 2023 16:19]
