Friends, for older viewers I d suggest seeing them as they basically retire. Fronted by an astounding Paul Jones, they send you back to the 60s and early seventies in an instant. Jones looks quite ridiculous for a man of 80 . He could pass for 50. Has no fat, hair seems intact and his voice is still strong. His virtuosity on harmonica has remained . Mike D’ Abo alongside and whilst his voice doesn’t ( in my opinion) have the timbre of PJ in the set he showcases his song writing classics . Tom McGuiness almost hiding ,is criminally underestimated as a musician. All three perform their individual hits after the band split in 1969. They also do some Rand B classics ( not the R/B misnomer) . The songs have bucketfuls of soul. Plenty of time to get a ticket and the Grand would be an ideal venue [Post edited 2 Oct 2023 16:18]
