That was a fine side. Dallallio Back and Hill back row. Wilkinson Robinson..class throughout the team. For me peaked a year early with victories in New Zealand (playing with 13 men at one time) and then Australia.. Double header SH victory away from home. Unheard of in those days. Especially in NZ.
The onluy NH team to win the competition. Really hoped an NH team would have won it this year. I will say Woodward was fortunate to have so many leaders as well as top players in that side. | | | |

Pains me to say it but , Martin Johnson coming across as a bore in interviews by media .
He must have had that dressing room bouncing pre match Team talk , whatever he said his team followed .
Wikinson was a scoring machine with the boot , sometimes got to accept that a well organised squad will achive the rewards .
