Unless we bring Margetson into the squad we need a back up keeper with McLaughlin going. We need one possibly two central defenders if Darling and Delcroix go. We need cover at full back with Naughton and Christie gone. A midfielder to replace O'brien and Allen even with Widell coming in. A number 10 unless that's where Widell is going and an out and out number 9, Wales and Inoussa are not that sort of player in my opinion. Then it all depends who else we can offload. I expect to see more of Parker and Lloyd this season unless they go out on loan. As for the u21s out on loan im not sure they are the required quality for a promotion push. Senior players out on loan, just get rid of them if we can along with Vipotnik. |  | | |

I think Forest were paying about £20K a week of O'briens wages when he was on loan with us. He's in the last year of his contract so I don't think he will go out on loan again. There will probably have to be a settlement done, hopefully it will be us. | | | |

Luke? Or did you mean Lewis. If Forest are prepared to terminate his contract we will be prepared to offer a significant signing on fee paid over a four year contract and high wages. Nothing close to £47k a week but with incentives he could well be better off than sitting on a one year deal. It's all down to Forest really then O'brien if they terminate. | | | |

Looking at that, I'd struggle to put a starting 11 out that was good enough.
Fisher, just sell.
Tjoe-A-in, Lloyd, Lissah, Congreve, Parker, are they good enough?
Vipotnik, Yates, Cullen and Kuk....they can go...Cullen...maybe but he isn't good enough to be a lead the line striker.
I thought the news on Ginnelly was that he isn't fit enough and may never be so...goodbye.
That leaves us with 14 players. By my reckoning we need to sign 6-7 to have a reasonable squad, 3 in defence, 3 in midfield and 1 up front.

Great assessment. I personally don't think we'll see Widell in the AM position, he'll be very attacking don't get me wrong but from what I've seen he's not afraid to track back, make a tackle and run from deep either so can see him possibly sitting in with Franco and AN Other in CM in a box to box role.
Back in defence is a concern from a numbers perspective, need at least 2 quality/experienced CB's and/or another who can cover RB.
Up front we look well stocked, but can't see many of those being on the books next year. We've brought in Wales and I suspect we'll bring another striker in to give more completion to VIP who I expect to have at least another season with us. Kukharevych, & Yates to move on (unless Sheehan rates them - as he hasn't had the opportunity to pick either this season) with
Cullen probably dropping out of the starting XI and making do with more of an impact/cover role next year (unless he kicks on this summer). | | | |
