In my 13 years as an adopted Jack, it has become like what Christmas Eve was as a little kid. So much excitement even when we didn't have great prospects.

Always want to believe it will all come together every season, even though experience has begun to get me jaded about expecting too much.

Maybe this is the year. Maybe Matos continues to push this club forward. But I appreciate knowing my Jack family is out there feeling and praying for the same.

My limited first person involvement in being a supporter has included a 0-0 draw in South London vs Palace. It was 3 days after a win at the Liberty vs West Brom on BoxingDay in 2015.

Even though it was a single point vs 3, it was such a better memory because the Jacks there were so much more hard core.
