Carphone Warehouse. 12:23 - Oct 15 with 909 views | lifelong | Don't know if there has already been a thread on this, recently somebody close to me has had their identity stolen and quite a number of expensive items have been obtained using it. Some of those items are top of the range mobile phones and televisions, the victim (apologies to GowerJack) is a customer of Carphone Warehouse and it's only today that they have been informed that their system has been hacked into, putting the personal details of 2.4 million customers at risk. Anyone else a customer should keep a close check on their bank accounts and credit rating. http://www.theguardian.com/business/2015/aug/08/carphone-warehouse-cyber-attack- [Post edited 15 Oct 2015 12:40]

Carphone Warehouse. on 12:34 - Oct 15 with 874 views | monmouth | It's also Talk Talk, as CW supply their mobiles. I was informed by them quite a while ago though. The laughable thing is all they do is apologise not actually undertake to do anything better. Your mate should sue their arses off if he loses anything. The data commissioner should screw them into the ground too, pour encourager les autres...or something similarly French...bon appetit.

Carphone Warehouse. on 12:34 - Oct 15 with 873 views | Lord_Bony | I've done some Forex currency trading (gambling) online recently. It worries me that part of the setup when money is deposited from your card is you have to send them by email a copy of your passport, driving licence and utility bills and a whole bunch of other personal details to "comply" with money laundering regulations etc. I've heard a lot of horror stories recently whereby this information has been sold on and used by criminals in identity theft. It's not that difficult to do.
