It's the same with all these televised charity events. It's always famous rich people asking/telling us to give our money and often we find out they were being paid for their time.
We then find out, much later, that much of our donations were squandered, wasted, badly spent and/or lost to corruption.
No matter how much we give year after year nothing much seems to change for the better. Sometimes we find out the money was actually used to make things worse,

Absolutely, I only donate to the local animal shelter and the local food bank. especially after the billions that have been pumped into the 3rd world and sweet FA coming from it. Seems worse over there than ever! |  |
