| Micro Suction 23:27 - Apr 29 with 1307 views | Jack123 | Had this done over a year ago, and found it painless and worked a treat. But I'm sure, it's building up again! Now last time I went the price was 40 quid ( 2 ears), that was in vinnys, looking now it's bloody 55 quid!! And that seems the price everywhere. They used to do the water irrigation in my doctors, but have stopped that, seems the only choice is to go private. I know they have clinics in either Morriston or Singleton for micro suction but last time I checked there was a six month plus waiting list to get it done for free. Should we really have to go for private treatment, and pay 55 quid for such a common problem, I notice these private clinics have upped their prices, since most doctors now won't do water irrigation syringe. From what I understand, these machines that do the micro suction are under ten grand, surely a few doctors should have them, not 6 month plus ******** waiting list. | |

| Micro Suction on 07:52 - Apr 30 with 1247 views | Scotia | I had it done about 10 months ago in the marina. It was advertised at something like £50 - he charged me an extra £40 for covid protocols. I stupidly didn't even question it t the time. 90 flipping quid! I think Swansea Uni do it for considerably cheaper. It isn't considered essential as eventually a ear will unblock itself apparently. | | | |

Last time I checked they were about half the price of the private people. I’m lucky, my GP, Mumbles Medical Practice still do the water treatment for nothing.

Have you been told that it is not considered essential, and the ear will unblock itself? I'd be tamping if someone said that too me, I know fully well it does not unblock itself. I've had it done many times, using the water, and even after putting olive oil in for 2 weeks, they still could not shift some stubborn bits around the ear drum. I checked the price for Swansea Uni, seems they have upped their prices as well, 40 for one ear, 60 for two. That 90 quid was rough!! Rip off merchants, I guess they can charge what they want, because when the 2 ears become completely blocked with wax, no question it's an absolute necessity to have them cleaned asap.

| Micro Suction on 15:39 - Apr 30 with 1153 views | fbreath | I would like to get my ears cleaned out. Does anyone know if this micro suction is ok for someone who has had perforated ear drum repaired. Had one ear done repaired about 15 years ago | |

By the look of this, I would say it's ok. https://www.guysandstthomas.nh Or just to make certain, when booking ask them. I used vinnys although they have upped their prices, I found them very good, couple of drops of olive oil in for 2 days prior and you should be good to go, when I went, there was a bit that was stubborn, so put some more olive oil in, and went back in a day or so, and they removed that.

Thanks, I did see that link when I did a search but thought I would ask others who may have had it done having had perforated eardrum repaired.
