You will have to blame the EU countries for stopping people from the UK arriving to spread the delta variant. The EU are so far behind with their vaccination programme that they dare not take the risks.
The UK also banned most fans from entering without quarantine. You must remember we are in the middle of a pandemic. Fortunately 5 million EU citizens live in the UK and they have applied for settled status. They are the " foreign " fans who turned up at Wembley. | |

I didn’t see many on here complaining when they were crammed into Leicester Square after travelling down on packed trains.

It's about mitigating the risk as best we can. It's kind of like wearing a helmet when you cycle, wearing protective boots at work or looking both ways before you cross the road. We can't eliminate every aspect, but we can try our best.
