It's a shame about his parents, if possibly predictable. It's great that his friends and team mates were so supportive. Why do people still have to "come out" though? it's sad that people can't just be themselves. I guess that'll change with the passage of time, old fashioned parents will die out. It's a crying shame that racism will probably still be around after homophobia is beaten but that's a whole other conversation.
