First 20minutes they settled better than us, we started on the edge and 5 minutes before the goal we were starting to get a foothold.
Think the Martin style really depends on confidence and when it clicks it's a joy to watch.
Patterson and Downes were superb today and thought Piroe and Grimes deserve special mentions also.
The foundation is set in place and we really need to push on from here.

Piroe is a potential goal machine who has been starved of possession. It' s been criminal. He is the best natural goalscorer we have had in some time. He can go on t be immense.
Offers will flock in for him and we need our owners to be strong and not sell cheap. One cant be confident of that .

Good summary that MD, strongly suspect if Giles had taken there early chance that would have been a lot tougher but from our first goal we took control & bar the very early second half minutes we never looked back.
Interesting challenge on Wednesday against probably the strongest all around side in the division - both Bournemouth & Fulham are better going forward but WBA, for me, are the strongest all around squad. We went toe to toe with Fulham a few weeks back & were well beaten let’s see how we handle another top 3 side.

We can go toe to toe but we simply cannot afford to faff around at the back and gift them chances.
They will be an utterly different outfit to that which we played today

Defence is still an issue for me. Don't think Rhys Williams was the answer and we need a good ball playing defender who is an actual centre half.
Thought the performance was very good today but the foundation in today's game was a bit wobbly but once we got it right then we pushed on. Today was another example that if you don't shoot then you don't score.
