| Tottenham looking for a new boss on 13:31 - Nov 1 with 695 views | Catullus | It's hard to manage clubs like Spurs with so many big name players. Maybe Nuno should insisted on selling Kane, he'd have had a good chunk to spend and it would send the message that everybody is expendable. | |

| Tottenham looking for a new boss on 13:35 - Nov 1 with 687 views | Badlands | Hearing from friends in the area fans are slowly going from 'Selling Kane would show the club had no ambition.' to 'Spurs is bigger than Kane and Nuno should have had cash to invest'. | |

The way they act you’d think they should be challenging for everything but for most of my lifetime at least they’ve just been a middle of the road mid table team who has the odd cup run but doesn’t actually win anything. In fact we’ve probably won more than they have in the last ten years.

TBF, if you spend £1 billion on the ground you should expect better than they are achieving.

I think they won the fa cup in the early 90s when Gazza and lineker were there but you’d probably have to go back to the 50s or 60s since they actually achieved anything.

It’s an interesting thing, every team wants to win every week, there in is the problem.

In fairness, they did get to the CL final a few seasons ago, an achievement which has only been bettered by Liverpool and Chelsea in the last decade. And they won the League Cup in 2008.

Yes so we have a won a major trophy more recently than them. To be honest, the Champions league final thing, seeing as a 4th placed team could get into the CL, it's not really such an achievement. If ONLY Champioms were allowed in, League and Cup winners, Spurs would have nothing. They have a fantastic stadium but an empty trophy cabinet, them and Arsenal aren't really challenging for the EPL. It shows what a 3 horse race it has become.

So, it's not an achievement to get to a CL final? Fair enough.

As I said, they have the odd cup run. We were all shocked with the news that all the biggest clubs in Europe were planning to breakaway to form the European super league last year. But the most shocking thing was that Tottenham Hotspur were included.

Yup, surprised me too. In terms of achievement - given that the PL is pretty much sewn up by Man C, Liverpool and Chelsea for the foreseeable, all the other PL teams will have to put up with not achieving anything anytime soon. They might have the odd cup run, but they don't count, obvs. Makes you wonder why they bother.
