Swansea City take on Bournemouth. Further premier league player links *Exclusive 6th Nov 2021 08:00
Okay, it’s fantastic news Swansea City are to be trusted to bring on players who are at the biggest football clubs in the world. Ethan Laird from Manchester United, and of course Rhys Williams from Liverpool are with the swans this season. Last season Marc Guehi earned Chelsea twenty five million pounds when he left the swans and landed at Crystal Palace. Rhian Brewster earned Liverpool the same sum the season before. 0

Think McAtee will be a much more realistic prospect than Palmer, the latter could easily be a starter for a PL club already while the former being much more unproven. Both fantastic exciting talents

I agree about Palmer, I think for him to come here we'd have to guarantee he starts and I don't want that ti cause any issues in a settled squad.

We shouldn't borrow too many either, develop our own players where we can.

Laird is a starter, Williams is on the bench so I would only loan one more and only guarantee game time off the bench. Though we will certainly need some extra depth come january I don't want us relying on loans too much.

I think Martin has proved that players can be coached to be better, a different better. Look at Pato, Bennett, Manning, Hamer. Even so you cannot turn a Focus in to a Ferrari but you can turn a Zetec into an ST.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

It seems Russell wants Palmer primarily, can’t blame him. The Guardiola reference to him being a second team player will give Russell hope a deal could be done.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

A few posters on this board could do with taking note of Peps wisdom in this article...

"~he trains with us and works with our principles. I am happy with the goal. He could have done a few actions a little bit better, but that is normal. It is experience. The people in this world want things immediately, quick, but everything needs time,” he added. “You cannot cook a good dish if you don’t spend time in the kitchen. So, it takes time.”

It is far better to grasp the universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. - Carl Sagan

Crikey, if we got Palmer on loan down here that'd probably be one of the biggest statements of intent in the Championship for a long while!
