My grandfather served in the Irish guards on 16:28 - Nov 22 by trampie
Was he in the International brigade ?
Yes mate, I put it on here a year or so ago. He was a real old type communist, when he returned from the civil war he was locked up for 8 months by the British. His service in the Irish guards counted for nothing. It destroyed him till the day he died.
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I was just going to ask you about that because that was a real conflict of interest, being in the British Army and then fighting for the international brigade, I remember you talking about it previously but did not realise it was a British Army regiment he was in I thought it was an Irish (as in Southern Ireland army), once I seen your post I realised we are talking British Army to International brigade.
Are you aware of the Basque children coming to Swansea ?, South Wales mining communities particularly were strongly for the brigades against Franco and Hitler.
Not being naughty now but considering our connection to the Basques in Swansea and South Wales how would you feel about Basque flags at the Liberty and even Basque separatist flags at the Liberty ( or dot.com or whatever it's called).
Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

Now that’s a very good talking point and one I would have to take time out to reflect on mate.

They were only in their hundreds as well Trampie. I remember him telling me they were throwing rocks at the Franco’s fascists at Córdoba when the ammunition ran out. They still do it today.
