No it isn't that simple. If someone is taken in to hospital in critical condition and no COVID symptoms, but test positive for COVID and they subsequently die of the said critical condition they will have COVID mentioned on their death certificate.

No it isn't that simple. If someone is taken in to hospital in critical condition and no COVID symptoms, but test positive for COVID and they subsequently die of the said critical condition they will have COVID mentioned on their death certificate.
Mentioned , isn't the same as being recorded as a covid death.

Doctors put the relevant information on death certificates. Government statisticians then apply the spin. It's quite right to mention Covid on the death cert of someone who has died with it in their system.
Spinning it to make it look like Covid was the main cause? That's not down to the doctors.

With all due respect, this has been going on since last year. I I was reading WOL the other day comments section, and somebody was kicking off because the death was not covid, but Public Health Wales proclaimed it as such,, It's a scandal.

I haven't seen the figure for excess deaths but I would imagine a lot has to do with lack of treatment, Also isn't there a bit of a scandal regarding the use of Midazolam given unnecessarily in care homes.

Take a look. There are thousands, and they correspond exactly to times of high covid infections.
Very few will be down to a lack of treatment. Emergency treatment was always available, I know people who needed it and got it. There will be some though.
People who missed any routine or precautionary appointments probably won't have died in the relevant time period.

Well I was tested and lo and behold it came positive , a bit of a shock initially but no real surprise considering the amount of numbnuts out there (and on here come to think of it) . Hopefully the way I feel atm is the worst it's going to get , some poor bugger may no be so fortunate.
