Would that be the same Paterson who has the 9th most assist in the championship this season. His nine assists are more than Grimes, Downes and Smith combined.
He is also our 3rd highest soccer with 9 goals.
Our biggest slump this season came during December and January when he was not playing.

It may have been the ideal type of game for him yesterday, particularly the first half. Oba made some great runs but we missed the vision of Pato to get the ball through to him. A rest? After he had nearly 2 months off because "his head wasn't in the right place" was that not enough of a rest?
If he needs a rest now then we shouldn't be thinking of a new contract and should be looking to replace. He's been good for us, if somewhat hot and cold, but if a player needs to rest now after resting through the busiest period, can we afford to carry him? | | | |

It's only the last four or five games where his performances have dipped. He looked pretty sharp when he first came back into the side. End of season heavy legs or perhaps something a bit more sinister, regardless he's not been much of an asset lately. | |
