Another myth.
Roberto made an immediate impact taking over two thirds into the season, we went on a run of 11 games only losing 1 game and made it to the last day of the season where we needed to beat Blackpool to get into the play offs, which we lost.
In his very next season (his first full season) we were Champions of League One. In his next season we finished 8th in the Championship.
Where this notion came from that Roberto needed all this time to get us playing I don’t know. It’s utter nonsense, it was immediate.
These myths have been created by fans to take the pressure of their misplaced golden boy, and people believe it because they are lazy.. even Russell himself believed it by the looks of things.
