Swansea City Under-18s' midfielder Aimar Govea has been called up to Spain's Under-17 squad for their training camp in Alicante from December 12 to December 15.
The 16-year-old has been named as part of Julen Guerrero's 26-man squad to travel to Alfaz del PÃ for a four-day preparation camp as they look forward to the Uefa Under-17 European Championship, with the finals due to take place next year.
Govea - who has already represented Ecuador at international youth level - making his debut against Argentina Under-17s back in October, was born in Spain.
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
One wonders who has scouted him?. He seems to play part of games not whole 90 mins. Younger brother of Merlin Govea I think and he was a fragile talent from Real Madrid. I saw him at a u21 game with a guy that told me he was an agent running the rule of Cardiff and Swansea players.
Other in that tournament include Swansea team mates Evan Griffiths goal keeper Sam Parker and Jacob Cook for Cymru. They got decent results v Croatia and Sweden in qualifying.
Congratulations Govea on 19:36 - Dec 6 by ReslovenSwan1

Jordi Gorvea played a season with Birmingham U23 (2021/22) after he left us in 2020.
