Young Ben has been fast tracked in to the Wales u21 team at 17 . This is often the first sign of high potential. Bravo to him Jordan James and Luke Harris have been fast tracked to he senior squad.

He is a strong runner with tremendous speed and drive. Long way to go of course. Matty Jones was impressed enough to promote him.

Wise sage since Toshack era

He turned 18 today. Nice present for him.

Not sure he's got much in the way of pace and it's likely to be what defines his potential in the future, similar to Liam Cullen (who in most ways is otherwise a better footballer than Ollie Cooper). He's more a Ramsey than a Bale right now, tries/sees things others don't and finds spaces in the box with late runs. Patrick Jones is the speedster in the squad. No luck with injuries but shown he can do it in the Championship in cameos with Huddersfield.

Luke Harris has been fantastic in age group football for a long time and is a great prospect but I saw him start against Birmingham in a cup game and he looked well off it. Needs a cap to lock him down then put him back in the oven (as happened with Harry Wilson).

Good to see Colwill accept an u21s callup. Some think they're too good for it once they've "made it" with a senior selection. Charlie Savage playing in League One so good points of comparison for our younger midfielders. Are they already of similar quality or is Matty showing his Swans bias?
