Not sure that yesterday's performance can be described as improvement. If not for Fisher we could have lost quite comfortably.
Still the same tedious passing for the sake of passing when we've got players capable of so much more if allowed to take the offensive and occasional risk. |  |

Not sure that yesterday's performance can be described as improvement. If not for Fisher we could have lost quite comfortably.

I think he report references improvement both team and Fisher. It’s all about opinions, I thought it was an improvement on the games against Stoke, Middlesbrough etc. plus Martin picked an unchanged team which with Ntcham taking six shots in the game was an improvement, Walsh also improved the team going forwards, he was dangerous and caused a few problems.
The passing around at the back did cause one issue which Coventry should have scored from but the keeper Fisher displayed a huge improvement on other performances by saving the opportunity. Cabango and Wood for me also played well, a huge improvement on the defensive issues we have witnessed before this mini revival. ( 7 points from 9 ) Wood froze Gyokeres out game for most of it.
Of course it was nowhere near where we should or could be but to say it wasn’t an improvement when you see how bad the team have been is a bit short sighted.

I can say it wasn't an improvement when the overall performance was still just about fortunate to scrape a draw against Coventry.
We're still performing well, well below the capability of the squad. | |

I didn’t think we scraped a draw, we both had equal opportunities to win the game. And equal chances, Wigan will be interesting as they simply must get the points. | |
