Being someone who was born and bred English I still find the Welsh team far more interesting to watch and their success gives me far more pleasure than England. Being annual underdogs maybe ? I would put it down to being a Swans fan all my life (my father who is also English is as well) He attended Swansea Uni in the late 90’s and got the bug at the old Vetch from the first game he went to. I’m unsure if being English matters though. I know three Scottish born and bred Swans fans personally, they don’t think it’s an issue either and go to numerous Welsh fixtures. | | | |

There’s some plankton out there who don’t believe you should support Swansea if you are not from there.

Attendances would be down by 5000 then. Virtually all who sit around us in the South are from outside of Swansea. Most well outside. |  |

Haven't asked this season but 16% of season ticket holders were from outside west Glamorgan two seasons back. I probably know around 50 Jacks who have no connections to Wales at all who are Swans fans. A lot are season ticket holders. | |

Agreed, I’ve a couple of mates who were threatened at Villa in the premier league. Both have very extreme Wolverhampton accents. They weren’t dealt with as both thought they would be arrested and banned from games. Which was a probability. | |
