Keith do you know what the position is with Walta. Is he here with an option to buy at the end of his loan. Or is the contract in place and we have bought him with the paperwork in place. Only because I'm wondering if the club really want him. He must be fit because he played 90 minutes for Finland twice last week so the "he needs time to get up to speed" doesn't sit well. From what’s been said on here since his arrival, he’s here in loan with a commitment to buy at the season end. I don’t think we could renege on that even if we wanted to.
What’s also been mentioned is that he needs to bulk up to be effective in this league so maybe that’s what is happening behind the scenes.
I’d like to see him play more but maybe there’s some very good reasons he’s being used sparingly. |  |

All I know is the fee is agreed for a summer permanent transfer. Matos likes him a lot and we should see him play a few games before the end of the season. Making the jump to competitive weekly football in the championship is taking a lot of our newer players time to adjust to. Widell has overcome it but it took months.
The only insight I had at the start of this transfer agreement was that the Swans had to sign him with initial payments in the summer due to profit and sustainability. And tbh someone on Twitter messaged me because we didn’t have all the facts straight even then. Since then all I’ve heard is, don’t forget that every contract comes with numerous clauses. I would imagine if he didn’t sign there would be a hefty fee going to his club. But who knows. I’m pretty certain he will complete his transfer come the summer.
I know Stamenić, Vigouroux and Walta were in New Zealand for the international break, whether that has any bearing on him not playing I don’t know. |  |

That was true about Widell who is 5'11 but Walta is 5'7" do you bulk up at that height, players that hight are normally slight and quick footed. I was just wondering if Keith has some inside info for the reason he is being overlooked. | | | |

From watching a bit online I think he’ll be really good when the game is stretched and he can use his speed and technical ability going forward with a bit of space around him. If he’s asked to play in a crowded midfield because we’re building to slow I think will not play to his strength and cramp his natural game. I’d like to see him given a try in LC advanced midfield position. |  | | |
