I'm not claiming it's not, but I would point out that for a PL side, so far he's a one season wonder with last seaon being disappointing for whatever reasons. They are very leary of that, having seen how it has gone so often in the past. He would be attractive for high up the Championship, but if he goes for that and then doesn't do well, he's damaged goods. For similar reasons I don't think Galbraith is that attractive, yet.

It isn’t clear at all, and he is torn, the guy will be a millionaire at least for every year of his contract. He will be one already for sure on his signing on fee alone when he was brought in. He's never been on a low wage so the new increase is pretty healthy. Nobody knows the thoughts of the majority owners, but everyone has a starting point. The other factor is what he wants ? Would he see value in another season at the Swans, and the Swans have to play that off against the question which ‘ will he be the same player next season’ ? His personal belief in what is good money, let’s be honest he will never be short of cash ever again may mean he stays. As stated in today’s report, these clubs who are interested ( there have been no talks whatsoever just interest) have some real hard nosed businessmen to get past. If the club need to sell him to bring down the debt which is currently manageable then he will go early in the summer window. It’s going to be an interesting time, the club win either way.

It is a bit like Bony. He signed a new deal and kept making "i am staying here " signs while scoring. Swansea already had a frustrated Gomis in the wings to step up up if he left. Swansea signed Adam Idah and, as with Gomis, there is little sign of them both starting together or even being on the pitch the same time. Presumably Bobby Wales would have been ready made new number two after bags of goals in league 1. It jut has never happened and it may not be his fault. Perhaps he was taken as an "extra body" insurance. Bad work there.
