But best Swans team of all time? Certainly not. Leighton James, Robbie James, Dzemal Hadziabdic, Ante Rajkovic, Bob Latchford, Alan Curtis etc might have something to say about that. As their sixth place finish showed. And were top wifh two months of the season left. You had to be there. | |

it was an unbelievable time, i was only talking to my m8 (a Cardiff fan) about it last week, how we were /are lucky enough to have witnessed some great player here at the time, Cally , Smith, Latchford etc and some more great players since, a fact I rubbed into him, that since i started watching the Swans and having the poss taken out of me as we were at rock bottom, that since then I would say we have had the better of times and players than the crapital City. |  | | |

De Guzman was an excellent player on his day but I also remember his inconsistency. Sometimes he seemed to go absent in games against big teams, leading some to call him a "flat track pony". Personally I would have preferred a player permanently contracted to us (Dyer) to go in the record book for a Wembley hattrick, than for De Guzman to claim his goal. Having said that, he must have had a lot about him to keep playing at a high level until age 38. | | | |
