Swansea's 3 nights blitz
by Boundy at 21:18 19 Feb 2026

"Today is the 85th Anniversary of the start of the 1941 “Three Nights' Blitz”.
The bombing of Swansea by the Luftwaffe in World War Two culminated in three nights of devastation on 19, 20 and 21 February 1941. The centre of Swansea was turned from bustling streets to a pile of rubble..
While it was presumed that the Luftwaffe targeted Swansea’s docks and munition factories, it’s a sad fact of life and death that the town centre and surrounding streets bore the brunt of the damage as a total of 230 people were killed and 397 injured over those three nights.
Perhaps what is less known is the devastation and tragedy to other parts of Swansea. Over 20 family, friends and neighbours on a small residential street, were all lost to a devastating deluge of German bombs. Look through the records of Swansea’s war dead and amongst the listed names Teilo Crescent appears again and again.
As is the tragedy of war, the overwhelming number of them were civilians, from 14-year-old John Buckley to 65-year-old Florence Kate Cratchley.
In all 24 residents and another six firemen and civil defence volunteers working on one traumatic night - Thursday, February 20, 1941 - perished on a single residential street perched on Mayhill overlooking the town below.
I’m sure the loss and pain will still be felt by the surviving family members , friends and neighbours of those who tragically lost their lives.
I trust they will not mind the names of the deceased being honoured .
The residents of Teilo Crescent who died : ( from a Wales Online article).

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor
by johnlangy at 18:42 18 Feb 2026

We've been hearing for a long time about Andrew M B's connections with Jeffrey Epstein and now we find that he may well be shown to have sold the UK down the river for his own benefit while acting as a UK trade ambassador. I wonder what word people would use to describe a person who did that.

Andrew Lownie, who wrote the book 'Entitled' about the scumbag Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, now states categorically that the Royal Family suppressed the problems with Andrew for 15 years. They did everything possible to prevent anyone from finding out what he'd been up to. For 12 years that includes the late queen.

Can I suggest people check out the youtube videos of Andrew Lownie being interviewed on this subject.

Here's something he quoted in one i've just watched.

'It's not just insider information, it's treason, and it's financial corruption at the heart of the Royal family by the son of a monarch, a brother of a monarch and abetted, I have to say, by a former monarch and possibly by a present one'.

He comes out with explosive stuff in these interviews and it wouldn't surprise me if the lot of them get caught up in the sh!tstorm that's coming.

As always the establishment is trying it's best to cover up what they've been up to but I can't imagine that they'll be able to stop all this coming out. There's just too much of it.

Ollie Cooper plays in 4-0 win
by KeithHaynes at 00:26 18 Feb 2026

Last night.

OS

Swansea City Under-21s were rewarded for a dominant performance as they claimed a 4-2 victory over AFC Bournemouth at the Joma High Performance Centre on Tuesday evening.

Morgan Bates opened the scoring from close range with just over 60 seconds played, before Josh Pescatore made it two on the half-hour mark with a fine solo finish.

Michael Dacosta-Gonzalez's strike shortly after the restart from Pescatore's goal halved the deficit, but Thomas Woodward made an immediate impact from the bench as the midfielder made it 3-1 just a few minutes after coming on in the second half.

Pescatore then rounded off a fantastic individual performance as he completed his brace in the closing stages. Remy Rees-Dottin pulled a goal back for the Cherries late on, but the Swans prevailed to claim the three points.

Ollie Cooper was named in the starting XI to get some minutes under his belt, whilst new arrival Joe Collins made his debut in between the sticks.

And a fast, pacy start from Sam Parker and Pescatore ensured the Swans were ahead with barely one minute on the clock.

Pescatore’s curling effort was parried away by Danny Dixon and the on-rushing Bates was on hand to direct the ball in to the back of the net for an early opener.

From then on Swansea dominated possession and controlled the game, preventing any real threat from the visitors, but neither side created any further clear chances with 20 minutes played.

Parker looked to create another opening on goal as his curling cross looked to find Bates, but the striker arrived just too late to meet it.

Debutant Collins was called into a crucial save moments later as the Irishman palmed away a tight-angled effort from Jonny Day.

But the Swans went straight up the other end, and it was another goal involvement for Pescatore as the 19-year-old took on two defenders before curling a lovely strike in to the top corner.

However, the Swans' lead was halved almost immediately, as Dacosta's well-worked strike from outside of the area smashed in to the bottom corner.

Swansea had the first opening of the second period. Cooper held off his man down the right before the ball came out to Harlan Perry, and the second-year scholar unleashed a thunderous strike that was deflected wide.

But Swansea did add to their tally when Woodward replaced Kai Rhodes and the attacking midfielder went on to make an instant impact from the bench.

A neat one-two between Woodward and Pescatore on the edge of the area had the former set up nicely to strike from range, and in-form Woodward made no mistake to find the back of the net with a low shot.

Bates would be frustrated when his close-range header was directed just wide from a Billy Clarke delivery.

But the Swans continued their dominance and were rewarded with a fourth goal, and it was Pescatore as he completed his brace with a low finish from Milo Robinson's lay-off.

Bournemouth rounded off the scoring when Day's bobbling effort tumbled over the line, but it was only a consolation.

Swansea City Under-21s: Joe Collins, Sam Parker (Billy Clarke 65), Callum Deacon, Harlan Perry, Iestyn Jones, Blair McKenzie, Josh Pescatore, Dan Watts (captain), Morgan Bates (Brogan Popham 77), Ollie Cooper (Milo Robinson 77), Kai Rhodes (Thomas Woodward 57).

Substitutes: Thomas Wright.

AFC Bournemouth: Danny Dixon, Kendra Mottoh, Noa Boutin, Zac Christie, Harold William, Alfie Merritt, Remy Rees-Dottin, Charlie Stevens (captain), Jonny Day, Michael Dacosta, Eugene Gyedu.

Substitutes: Joseph Solanke, Finn Tonks, Ethan Sills, Charlie Osborne.

EU nationals with British passports
by Beethoven at 22:18 16 Feb 2026

Reading a recent post on how Swansea have several young Polish men in our academy it got me thinking that there must be hundreds of young footballers in the U.K who are originally from the E.U, reading the rules listed below any of these men can represent any of the home countries. I know it is nice to give Welsh youngsters the chance however Wales would benefit from a larger pool of players to select from.
I think Wales should start making a list of all young E.U born nationals who are on the books of U.K clubs and maybe start looking at them for the Wales youth setup.
There might be an absolute gem out there waiting to be discovered.

EU nationals raised in the UK can represent a British national team (England, Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland) if they meet FIFA eligibility criteria, which generally requires five years of education or residency before age 18, or holding citizenship. Post-Brexit, they face strict Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) rules to play professionally.
Key Eligibility Rules for Playing for UK Nations
Education/Residency Rule: A player can represent a UK nation if they have lived in that territory for at least five years after reaching the age of 10, or for at least three years if they began living there before age 10.
Citizenship: If the EU national has acquired British citizenship, they are eligible to represent a home nation.
Previous Caps: If they have already played for another country at the senior level in an official competition, they cannot switch, though exceptions exist for those with dual nationality.
FIFA Eligibility: Under FIFA's rules, players without a parent or grandparent born in the UK can represent a British team if they meet these long-term residence requirements.
