Think the UK can be classed as hypocrites to J.o.N, as we are helping Russia by exporting machinery, etc to countries like Kyrgyzstan, who then send it onto Russia. [Post edited 22 Feb 12:10]

Think the Poles would disagree, as USSR attacked Poland with Germany in 1939 and then took complete control of the land following the war making Poland a satellite communist state of theirs up until the late 1980's. |

In Buenos Aires, we visited La Boca, an amazing neighbourhood close to Boca Juniors - we were advised not to visit after 3.00 pm due to safety but fine in the daytime (go on an organised trip for this). Visit the Recoleta Cemetery (resting place of Eva Peron), walk around the city centre, go to an Argentinian tango evening and relax with an amazing steak and Malbec wine. |

Went on a cruise to South America just before Covid. Flew to Buenos Aires and we were the only Brits on board the ship!! Stayed in Buenos Aires for 4 days in total and sailed to Santos, Itajai, then Montevideo. Absolutely amazing countries to visit - and would go back for sure. |

Glory Nzingo is an interesting player. Started in Ireland, went to France now with us. He could be one that goes on to the first team squad this season, i think. |

I've just passed junction 29 of the M4; there is a red Port Vale ⚽ road sign next to the other exit signs. Anyone know why this is there? 😯 |

We've worked got 2 weeks to get all 3 up and running. We've got to include them now the window is shut and are not exactly in a position to leave them out. Of course Dyer and Routledge are in decline but they'd still do ok in the Championship, as would Narsingh. |

Well he looked a miserable so and so when I saw him at Sophia Gardens recently. He's obviously not up to much as coach and the team, who were getting hammered by Northants when I saw them, were laughing and joking in the field. They didn't come across as very professional to me and that starts with the coaching team. |

Carroll as a back up midfielder rattan than Dyer and Routledge as back up wingers. Desperately need a CM and a CF by Friday. |

I think we need to be realistic. We are in the Championship now, not the Premier League. An international player, who can play in two or three positions (CF & CM / ACM) thus meeting the need to only sign one player rather than two. He would do a good job in the Championship. If we bring in Toivonen, CCV & a DM, I would be happy given the transfer dealings that we have previously seen. |

Not sticking up for the muppet but think it will still be in the last century for another 82 years 😂 Our cup win will never be tainted, fantastic achievement beating top clubs along the way, which gave us the right to hammer Bradford in the final and enjoy it. [Post edited 16 Aug 2018 8:36]

Let's hope that it is only temporary. We can re-evaluate at the end of August and see who has been brought in on loan. Cost cutting was a priority and no one would disagree; it is again the terribly blinkered approach of selling so many with no thought for squad balance that is annoying. It's so bad, it's as if the Americans had planned it that way..... |

To be fair, the first XI for Saturday should be the same as last week except for Fede (Rodon or John to step in?). So despite the awful final day of the transfer window, we aren't much worse off for Saturday. That said, I'd want a CB and a MF and a CF in, in the next 10 days. |
