Steve Cooper to Forest ? Swansea City will get 1.3 million
at 14:26 21 Sep 2021

Be interesting to see how he does without Connor's crosses, tireless running, late goals, and without Ayew pulling a rabbit out of the hat. No Guehi, Bennett and Cabango like rocks in the back. Not to mention no ex England under 17s until January. He'll keep them up as a minimum, but that's the only thing that's certain.

Oh gosh, I can think of quite a few on here who won't be endeared by these comments. Wouldn't be a ready foot soldier in the trenches in the war on woke. Think it's safe to say he isn't in the GB News target audience.

What was that about Routledge c*nts......?

If we manage to get up, those two goals by Routledge were only scored due to the Birch masterstroke of giving him a new deal the moment Potter upped sticks.

Enough of this bollocks about who's got the biggest balls Swansea or Cardiff fans, or whatever willy measuring contest some of you childish kants are on about like a gang of big girls.

Am I the only one thinking we now have a better chance than them of progressing. Fulham have kept going since the restart but The Bees have faltered a little since dropping out of the race for second. Bring it the fack on!!!

Listen, he ain't great, his football ain't great to watch but he seems to be as good as most managers in this division apart from those in charge of the top two. Laudrup ain't coming back, perhaps it's time to get real and accept that no one of that calibre is going to walk in here any time soon. This League isn't as good as it was, and the fact we're only a point off the playoffs may suggest that you don't, as things stand, need an awe-inspiring manager to get out of this League.

It's like we disappeared for seven years and returned to a Championship that's a shadow of the division we left, it's bang average, and a bang average manager can get you amongst the top clubs. That's modern football for you, that's what the big bucks in the Prem has done to the divisions below it.

Oh yeah, of course anything's possible once you get into that sixth spot, but I just can't see it.

Some were saying it's too soon to go up and that we won't cut it if we do, but the situation with Covid and possibly going into a new season with no fans, means that PL and the guaranteed SKY revenue means that I'd be happy to see us go up even if that meant making ourselves a complete laughing stock.

Can we get in the playoffs? One point off? Of course we can. Can we go any further than that, as far as I'm concerned there's no chance. Can you really see this team having what it takes to win a knock out competition against better teams? I can't.

Guehi

Surely Cooper deserves praise for the development in Guehi's game since joining on loan. He was absolute dross in his first few matches but he stepped up on Saturday. He was sent here until the end of next season by Chelsea with the hope he would be developed as a player by Cooper, and Saturday suggests that may just happen.

The plane over the Etihad

End of the day, as far as I'm concerned he was showing his low levels of English language comprehension, in that he believed Black Lives Matter somehow means that white ones don't.

Is being thick, in this case shockingly thick, a reason for him to be banned from the club, possibly, does he deserve to be sacked? Certainly not. Not only is this unfair, it is counterproductive and gives grist to the mill of the BLM is Marxist / All Lives Matter brigade and the belief, justifiably in this case, they are being persecuted.

Surely being that thick that he doesn't understand simple English is enough of a cross for the white supremacist, Tommy fanboy to bare?

Swans victory aside, I've got to say I haven't enjoyed what I've seen so far since the season restarted, don't know if it's the lack of supporters or the standard of football. They've been a poor substitute for reruns of old matches up to now!

Still think he could have been a decent player, but never had the drive, determination or application to succeed. I'll never forget his performance for Wales against Belgium in the qualifiers, but I struggle to think of any other excellent performances from him. His career never took off and apart from a couple of brief spells in QPR and Fulham he's never played regular football. He sticked around here too long when it was clear he would never cut it in the Premier League. He was happy enough to sit around and see the wages came in. By the time he plucked up the courage to leave, his ship had already sailed.

Social distancing in football

Thinking exactly the same, absolutely pointless. Made me wonder about the possibility of allowing fans in though, cause this ain't going away any time soon. Surely you could allow 10 to 20% of a stadium's capacity in without risking too much.

When will the next Swans game take place?
at 22:37 21 Mar 2020

We're in the privileged position of not really giving a flying fack. Of course it's a financial hit for either us or the club, but in the scheme of things if it means we don't die, I'm happy to draw a line under a season that was most probably heading up a dead end. Sure, we weren't out of it, and we could still have easily made the playoffs as teams around us fell over eachother seemingly trying to avoid the top six at all costs, but there are many other clubs I could have followed where the season being declared null and void would have been a damn sight more frustrating. People are dying all about the place, may they rest in peace, may this season rest in peace as far as I'm concerned.

Best option in regards to the EPL & EFL seasons?
at 21:06 20 Mar 2020

While I can see Liverpool being handed the title, I can't see teams being relegated on the basis of an incomplete fixture list so we could see most leagues being null and void, there is no way anyone could be promoted from the Championship as there are no clear leaders. The only way I can see the season finished is by having behind closed doors matches once we see a significant improvement in the situation. But that would only be after we've reached a peak. With the belated announcement yesterday that mass testing would start "within days", at least there is a glimmer of hope we'll be able to work out when a peak has indeed been reached.

For me it's option 2 come hell or high water. Too much money involved. Amateurish decisions will have huge financial ramifications for the PL and the EFL, even if it means two matches every week next season and the scrapping of the League Cup and Nations League.
