I’ve just noticed I, Claudius is back on iPlayer, so that’s me sorted for the next few days. A pleasant surprise how many of the cast are still going, eg Derek Jacobi, Patrick Stewart, Sian Phillips, Brian Blessed…Christopher Biggins, who must have been filming Porridge at the same time. Quite the double. |

The prestigious title of “Second Worst Team in SuperLeague” is up for grabs on Sunday at Plough Lane for the visit of Hull FC to London Broncos. Anyone going (apart from the obvious)? I’ve been sent an offer of a £5 ticket, which seems about right, though many times more enticing than Eurovision. |

The books are great entertainment and I had the extra enjoyment that so much of the action took place within a mile of my office. RIP CJ Sansom. Almost frightened to watch the series I liked them so much. |

He loved playing and I loved watching him. Hard to beat the fun of him making an idiot of an angry fullback as he ran the clock down (in the days we had leafs on home games). Thanks for the memories, Uncs. |
