A couple of decent ones from distance. nothing that you wouldn't expect him to save. They were forced to shoot from distance. Any really good chances Liverpool had they wasted. |

You like most of the pundits in world football fail to see it.
Liverpool dominated because Atletico allowed them to. They invited Liverpool onto them because they believe in their own defence. If they had been expansive and tried to outscore they would have been battered.
Perfect example of more then one way to to win a football match. Plan A didn't work for Liverpool tonight but against that defence I don't think any plan would've done |

Preston don't pay great wages and they got Alex Neil, he got Norwich out of this league and had only managed in Scotland previously. Surely we have the pull of someone of that calibre.

A manager that is so stubborn to change his style, is a poor one. especially in the Championship.
And its hardly like its a stick to what he knows, as hes never managed at this level. |

Feel like his trying too hard to make an impact, gave the ball away so many times yesterday and tried a lot of balls forward when there was no need or no one to receive them.
He has definitely got the talent, just needs to reign in his need to impress, maybe he feels he needs to justify being moved to a club further up the league then Charlton |

Yes i suppose a CB but you'd very rarely tactically take off a CB and even then the sub should know who he is picking up and be able to do the job. |

You're telling me that 8/9 decent level footballers are stood defending a corner, one leaves and is replaced with another and it all goes to sh!te.
If you concede from a corner after a sub its because you defended poorly not a substitution. Good management my @rse. |

And good on him, he gave us some great times, and he got rich, he secured the futures of himself and probably the the countless generations to come in his family. We would all do it. He owed us nothing.

I hope when inevitably he does move it is for the money, fair play to him if a PL team want to pay him 40-50k a week. Short career and all that.
I just hope he doesn't move to a team nearer our level in division I mean, would hate to see him play for a Leeds or a Forest. as currently they could probably put 50% more on his salary. |

I'd also wouldn't mind if we were tearing teams apart and you didn't want to upset the flow but its not like that.
Celina had a poor game on Saturday IMO, need to be taken off after 60 mins maybe even half time, I lost count of the amount of times he lost possession.
Brewster's first run in a pro team and hes played something like 355 out of 360 mins available.
Squad rotation is key in this league, and although the quality in them was poor, our squad depth all left in Jan. |

I've seen it mentioned in other threads and apologies if its already had its own.
Whats with the lack of them, Saturday was screaming out for someone to come on and take control in the final third, maybe Dhanda who is always a little more direct, and yet the only one he makes was Fulton and then Cullen with 3 mins to go, couldn't believe it.
Does he have little trust in the options on the bench or is he fearing losing the game? |
