Swansea City Transfer Thread
at 11:02 15 Jun 2019

Funnily enough, one of the former disgruntled employees at the club sent me the CCTV of the very moment those horrible transfer decisions were being signed off..

14 months on, and big chunks of our fanbase still stink of PL entitlement.

Why are we waiting?

Id be much happier with an unknown, young, couple of prospects like this who will be eager to show what they can do rather than a typical merrygoround carthorse that most other clubs would go for. Yawn.

As the under 23's who came through this season have shown us - enthusiasm, new ideas, energy and a sense of the unknown can suprise people. The same can be said of management teams. Gotta start somewhere, and id prefer to believe somebody is good at what they do, until they otherwise prove they are shite.

Legalise all drugs, tax the bollox off booze to the extent fags have been.. and ringfence all tax intake to be used solely for the purpose of education and medical care associated with addiction problems. Lets see what happens.

Throw in harsh sentencing for black market drug and alcohol sellers for good measure too.

The current model has failed horribly. Alcohol issues cost the taxpayers billions alone in NHS spend.

Id pick Gove. But it will be Johnson. The world will begin to have a melt down. Then he will appoint Rees-Mogg as Work/Pensions Minister to finish the left off entirely

Is Dan James money enough to satisfy this alleged debt that never decreases ?
at 20:35 8 Jun 2019

Aye, and selling them off along with Socks and VDH etc to cover the cost of not being able to shift Ayew and Baston would be the worse scenario.

FWIW i dont think we will. I just think the days of throwing largeish transfer fees are over until we get back to the PL. Im ok with that personally, although there should be one or two exceptions for key players.

Hopefully the James transfer plugs a significant % of the gap though. Looks a good deal to me, even though as a fan im disappointed we wont get to see any more of him. Tough to replace too. McKay/Asoro wont be the answer this season at least

It could always be worse my friend. (I wont go there)

Just cos the warchest is empty, doesnt mean we cant use freebies and loans. We did that the last time under Rodgers etc and it worked a charm. Just means we wont be chucking money on fees..

Jordan Ayew will be the easiest to shift, may even get a small fee.

No muppet will want Baston and A Ayews contract will keep kicking us in the balls until it expires. Nobody will want to cover that cost. Until all 3 are out, the warchest will be empty.

Is the heavyweight division serious?
at 22:11 3 Jun 2019

Im told thats because Joshua had been floored badly in sparring by Dawejko a few days before (look at his face before the fight - its all marked up) and was likely carrying a concusion. Kinda makes sense tbh

There was no fix. Joshua fought a dumb fight against a fighter who is better than he looks. People looking for excuses and reasons need to understand theyve been brainwashed by the SKY hype machines (just like how the PL is the best league in the world lol) and that AJ just isnt as good as they want you to believe. #bigstiffidiot

Fury is the best HW. But that isnt something that sits comfortably with most for all sorts of reasons, and i understand that.

Thought Trevor Birch was the bees knees (n/t)

Youre talking about plastic fans, yet you appear to watch both Cardiff and Swansea (and support who is in the higher division) and also have a pop at Jill about how she couldnt have possibly "enjoyed those years" in the 90s when we were sh1t.

Now to me, that makes you the very definition of a plastic. Only interested in successful clubs, regardless of rivalries, and then flipflop back and fore depending on who is better at the time. You dont appear to realise that "proper" swans fans will support us, and only us regardless of whether we are PL or L2. You arent one.

Each to their own.

Well, as a species we either work out this is legit and fix it ourselves, or the planet will fix it for us and eradicate us like bacteria dining on antibiotics.

The cull is coming whether youre responsible for it or not.

New contract for Routledge
at 21:21 23 May 2019

Pleased for him

But he needs the right manager for the job to get the best out of him, or what he has left anyway. If we bring in a hoof-it manager, itll be a waste of time. Somebody a bit more progressive will be beneficial.

Cant really have much to moan about there. Lets see if his actions match his words shall we. Beaky was excellent at schmoozing us as well.
