Is the tide turning against Martin already ?
at 21:40 19 Aug 2021

Under Martinez, Rodgers and laudrup we played with wingers. Yes the tactics varied with width etc. But we always had players capable of taking on a defender 1v1. That's what I saw as the Swansea way, a squad willing and capable of playing attacking football. I just don't see that anymore.

People always wanted the return to the Swansea way. To me that included playing with wingers. I look at the squad now and don't see anyone capable of taking a defender on, beating them and wipping in a cross. I don't see anybody capable of a defence splitting pass either.
We've always had players capable of doing this, and unfortunately now I don't think we do. We could have the best strikers in the world, but playing with wingbacks and no no.10 then we're unlikely to score many.

I just looked at the club shop and noticed that there's a section for shorts and pants. I know we're owned by Americans but they're called trousers here last time I checked. Sort it out.

So then, Redturds

Has anybody else noticed that it says that they will play in blue for the rest of this season and the 2015/16 season? It doesn't mention anything after that.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's waiting to see what division they're in then, and if they're in the Premier league then he'll change them back to red to try and make his money back.

One big screen up

It looks now like they're testing the screens, so I guess that is their final position.

Ki to Villa?
at 22:55 13 Jul 2014

We must have players lined up if we're letting so many go. If what we read is true then we could lose ki, michu, pozuelo, Hernandez, and canas from our midfield as well as possibly de Guzman.
One thing for sure is that it looks like an interesting month or so ahead.

Ki to Villa?
at 22:44 13 Jul 2014

It looks like Ki could be the next player to leave. It really does look like we're having a clear out this summer.
It does feel like we've not seen the best of him in a swans shirt.

When are we getting a bigger stadium
at 11:43 7 Apr 2014

I think cost is a big issue in the delay. I've been told that expansion would be at a cost of around £3000 per seat that's added which would mean that it would take at least 10 years before the cost of expansion pays for itself.
I've no doubt that many would therefore rather spend that cash on the squad.

It's highly unlikely to be cover in midfield. If it is then surely we'd be better off recalling Ki than buying anyone else.

Bony

The simple fact of the matter is the more he plays, the better he'll get and the better the team will adjust to his strengths. If he carries on progressing at this rate we'll have one hell of a player for the 2nd half of the season and beyond.

Next home game on a Saturday
at 11:21 11 Nov 2013

I've just checked and the following games are all live

Newcastle (BT) on a Wednesday
Hull (Sky) on a Monday
Everton (Sky) on a Sunday
Man City (Sky) Wednesday

So I was wrong, I guess they are all being moved for TV. Even so, very frustrating as work makes midweek games tough to get to on time.

Some people may not rate Bony, and there are certainly areas of his game to improve, but he's scoring goals and that's what we bought him for.
Hey, look at Soldado, Spurs spent £26 million on him and he's scored 4 Premier League goals, and 3 of them are penalties!

You'd think what with so many of our fixtures already being moved to Sundays because of the Europa, they wouldn't mess around with our other fixtures.
We have games it seems every day of the week other than on Saturdays. It's not like they're being moved for live coverage either.

Just looking down the fixture list and the next game we have at home on a Saturday is listed as against Cardiff on February the 8th, which will probably get moved anyway. They're all either midweek games or on a Sunday.

I know games are moved to a Sunday after the Europa league, but it would be nice to have some matches at least on a Saturday with a 3pm kick off.

Why do we not pressure teams anymore? We just sit back and let teams play. Bayern showed the way to play in beating Man City. We should press them high up the pitch.

I agree that a permanent signing would be better than a loan deal, otherwise a loan signing would just be slowing the development of Donnelly. At least if we sign another promising young striker we'd be developing our own.

A young Croatian striker we are linked to. I have no idea what to believe or not these days though.

De Guzman or Shelvey?
at 09:49 9 Aug 2013

Personally I thought Ki did ok when he came on. He seemed to want to drive forward with the ball which I liked. Maybe we're in for a better season with him this year as he's had time to settle, and now with his wife at his side we can hope to see better performances.
