I'm not blaming Esquerdinha at all, I thought he did OK the other night I just think he did well in the Development squad and moved up the pecking order to get his chance, thats what we should be doing. Those other names you mention are in positions where either the first choice has done well and we have other back up or they are not seen as good enough. If we are going to blame anyone for the other night, in what was a narrow defeat rather than a hiding, I'd point the finger at the likes of Varane, Saito, Kone and at times Madsen who just kept trying to play in our own half and kept giving the ball away to put us under pressue and not allow us to get up the pitch. We wasted so many good opportunites to get a cross in or have a shot by making a sloppy pass. It seems like the manager is coping the stick for this one but he was badly let down by players who can play a lot better than that |

I just think with Esquerdinha how long do you wait to give him a chance. He's been here a year now and is 19, do we wait a few years? Apart from the Ipswich game he's been fine so far, the whole point of the investment to the academy and development squad is that if you get injuries or players need a rest you can have players to come in and cover, learn and eventually become regulars. It might end up that he's not good enough like others before him which is fine but would rather see him get a chance than do what we did with Travelman with loans around the world and no prospect of ever making it here |

He's been out injured hasn't he? Went off in the home West Brom game |

The manager seems to see Morgan as a right back now, he hasn't picked him in midfield since pre season. Even if you put Field left back that's 3 of the back 4 changing, I'm not sure that would have given us a better chance. I'm obviously wrong judging by what others are saying but for me it was Varane, Saito & Kone who were a far bigger issue last night than the players who came in. All 3 of them on a sponsored give the ball away and then jog back failing to retrieve the situation. We've been poor away from home the last few games so I wasn't against trying something different, try Field as the advanced number 10 with a high press similar to what he did at Oxford. He was let down by the two behind him and had to keep dropping deep.Poku needed a start, I've seen plenty calling for him to start so if not last night when? All well and good saying loan out Esquerdinha but he's here as a back up left back so we shouldn't be afraid to play him every now and then. If he's not good enough then fine at least we know and don't hang onto him for years. I'd much rather us try something different after recent away games in the middle of a 4 game week than experiment in the cup games. It clearly didn't work but I didn't think it was anywhere near as bad as Norwich and Boro where we played a lot more of the "normal" starting 11. I still say if Poku scores that chance at 1-1 we win the game and the mood would be very different to the same team selection. The 2nd goal changed the game and we were second best after that. |

I don't think Dembele or Smyth are ideal either in that position. Burrell is such a unique player for us we have no one else like him. Field was able to drop back in midfield when needed as well. It didn't work but I still don't think the team he picked was that bad given the circumstances. It all came down to a couple of mistakes at set pieces and the impact subs having no impact at all when they came on |

You just can't play the same team 4 times in 9 days and expect it to work. We saw when he made hardly any changes a few weeks ago we lost and the moans were he needed to freshen it up. You can't win really. If Poku takes his chance at 1-1 it's a very different result and reaction to it. |

didn 't Field play a very similar role at Oxford away last season and did quite well, think he scored. I can see why he played him there to try and press from the front and keep the two in midfield together. Frey has shown time and time again he can't do that anymore and Kolli is coming back from injury. Options were pretty limited I think the way the fixtures fell this week he had to make a few changes in one of the games, for me the game came down to two moments, Poku hits the bar with a good chance and we defend a set piece poorly. That was the main difference, game could have gone either way really even with the team he picked. We actually got a lot worse when he brought the regulars on in the last 20 mins. |

As a club we can't bang on about the development club and then when we have a promising kid never pick him. No issue at all with him playing last night and he did fine, neither brilliant or awful. I hope he ends up getting another 5-10 games before the end of the season I'd much rather we made those changes last night than in the FA Cup |

Ultimately whatever team is picked we’re neither great or dreadful, we’ll have some good days and some bad for the rest of the season and finish somewhere between 6th and 16th, I know that’s boring but that’s what mid table teams do. It's the same across the league Watford look world beaters one week and can't kick a ball the next, same as Birmingham, Southampton, Derby, Leicester. It's a mad league this year, no one is brilliant and not many are dreadful |

When do you play them then? I thought Morgan was fine, Field and Morrison did Ok as well, was more the regular players who were crap. JCS is injured again You can't play this many games over Christmas without multiple changes |

we had to make changes really playg Friday, Monday, Thursday, Sunday you can't play the same team in all 4 games and may well be a few knocks which is why Mbengue was missing. I thougth the team he picked was fine we just had too many players below their best. Varane, Saito, Kone and Madsen all very sloppy on the ball giving it away timer after time. Madsen did create a few chances but looked shattered towards the end The subs had no real impact, Vale in particular was really poor |

He's not on small waghes at Soputhampton, his contract is ridiculous. He is desperate to leave but I think other clubs will come n for him, Leicester looks the most likely |

I think Parker is the best centre Half I've ever seen at QPR, I couldn't hate ALex Ferguson more for wasting him as a right back. He had such a leap on him, was quick and huis one on one defending was brilliant. I got his last autobiograpy years ago but will certainly look to get this one as well. He always speaks very well about QPR nowadays as well. Another one like Sinton who came back to dogs abuse but he'll always hold a special place in my heart. |

He'll still get in rotating with Saito on the left, he was playing really well before his injury |

It's been a real disapointment, wonder what the fall out will be. Do we rip it all up and start again or learn from this and continue with the same people. I guess a lot will depend on how the last 2 tests go although I thought we played alright in this one, just a little bit short in the first innings really, another 50/60 runs and that might have made a real difference. Aussies were excellent though and full deerve the win, their bowling has been outstanding |
