Everybody happy unless you don’t rate Zohore (one half decent scoring season with them) and think that Austin’s best years were a good few years ago.

I think we’d take a loan to take the wages off the bill. I’ve always suspected Lowe is the replacement for Ayew

Latest reports suggest that people waiting for the results of tests went on the trip and their tests came back positive. They didn’t have tickets for the meeting.

Another winger. Smells like we are being mentioned to bump up the price. As if any agent would do that.

Not saying they do or don’t- what we Had and they have is a team that is tactically different. If it works then they have every chance of staying out of trouble; if they get found out and pick up injuries then they could get drawn into the dog fight.

Will be an interesting season for them.

Less games than the championship but players may find that they are having to run harder and further in games. Not disputing their fitness but will it be enough?

If teams work you out is there a plan B? Squad strength, injuries and niggles will play a part. You could be lucky or unlucky with injuries.

I suspect a lot will depend on where you are around Easter. At least one team usually collapses at that stage of the season. There will be a number of teams in the mix, Leeds need to keep clear of it as they don’t have the experience of that type of dog fight.

Stay up and you have a chance of attracting players, relegation and Bielsa and your better players will be off.

An interesting season awaits.

Depends when they started supporting them, if it was when Toshack moved there in 1970 they hadn’t won anything.

In school most kids had tv teams: Liverpool, Leeds, Man Utd, Chelsea and West Ham being the main ones I remember. They’d support them on match of the day and the big match and talk about it on Monday.

For some they were the only team they supported, others like myself watched the Swans In the lower divisions and had a tv team.

Depends on squad depth. Otherwise they could be facing burn out, injuries from tiredness and risk dropping like a stone after Easter. Although fewer games players need to be more switched on than in the Championship.

High press will cause a lot of teams issues, how Leeds react to opposition tactics and how they defend set pieces will have a big baring on their season.

Our style of play last season was more effective as an away side than as a home side. At home we could struggle to break down teams and get caught on the break. Frustrating for the majority of fans who only watch us at home

Good result yesterday let’s see what Saturday brings. Too early to talk the team up or down and still plenty of time to bring players in at centre half and centre forward. On the flip side there is also plenty of time for players to go.

Let’s see where we are after the loan window closes.

Swedish u23 left winger/striker at Brighton linked to a loan to us by Brighton Argus.

Gyokeres hit seven goals and provided four assists in 26 league appearances at St. Pauli last season in a loan in bundersleague division 2.

The Argus understands Gyokeres is one of the options Swansea are considering to fill the void left by Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster, who was on loan at the club last season.

Bundesliga 2 side St Pauli are also interested in bringing the Swedish international back to the club, after he impressed when on loan last season.

Still trying to reduce the wage bill I think Ayew will go.
at 14:55 5 Sep 2020

Don’t disagree.

Wilson - seen as an established premier league player so despite his poor stats some managers will see him as a fair gamble. Won’t want a drop in wages.

Watkins- leading goalscorers in the championship who are not on loan will always be a target.

Ayew I would have thought would be a potential target for lower half/promoted clubs however I suspect he would need to take a cut in wages to be affordable for them as he will have no resale value.

Any transfer depends on what offers, if any, are made and whether Ayew wants to accept one; he is in the driving seat to a great degree. Not his fault that we gave him a contract that constituted a massive gamble in a bid to avoid relegation.

If he is still here I have no doubt that he will put a shift in up until the winter window closes.

Leeds United interested in Swansea City centre-back (Yorkshire Evening Post)

Fair point - he needs first team game time.

His comments regarding Kieffer Moore were a bit naive and he needs to learn ways to deal with a bigger awkward opponent.

Ben needs game time, not being 4th choice at Leeds.

If they are interested this is probably a long game of trying to unsettle a player through the papers.

You are burdened by putting out spin in relation to the selling shareholders, deflecting and dodging issues but it is a pretty good attempt.

Have you ever thought of writing a fantasy fiction novel?
