It’s a drop down but he’d be a very big fish at this level. Perform at a high level all season then loads of top teams will want him. I don’t think he’d sulk here and ruin any chance of a high wage move (even back to Spain or Portugal) .

He’s being played further forward than he likes so I can gather - CDM is his specialty and it’s what we desperately need.

We desperately need a proper CDM and not shoehorn Stamenic who is really an 8. His presence further forward would help nip some opposition moves in the budget if he and the team press correctly .

Plus - a proven right back so Lissah/Cabango/Welsh could rotate now Burgess is injured.

It’s only the first game. Just , Yeo and Opoku will very soon be hitting the back of the net. Our problem yesterday was we could play the ball out and through Birmingham in the first half but the pressed us well in the second half which squeezed us into making mistakes and long balls from Vig which always coughed up possession. A comfortable CD and a bonafide CDM in the Bodde mould would certainly ease that pressure.
I thought our passing and general forward play was a joy to watch in the first half. They weren’t even in the game until the mistake and subsequent goal.

The last few years (especially since the advent of the WA) has seen an attempt to sort of Cymru-ize Cardiff to be more Welsh as fitting for the Capital city. The number of cardiffians I come across here in England who try to engage me in simple welsh shows just how much of a push cyndaithas (excuse the spelling) yr iaith cymraeg are putting in - obviously at the behest of the Assembly to give this false impression.

I’ve always heard welsh in Swansea especially in the shopping areas like the market. We have always had a much more stronger and secure welsh identity than the Cardiffians.

That’s it - keep optimistic! Seriously last season was wasted with Sheehan and players who were never going to set the division alight. Our new manager drastically improved us at home with the same players and now we’ve upgraded in almost every position. Time to stop expecting the worst and to start dreaming again mate. This window has been like no other!

I’ve had my suspicions about a serious lack of proper conditioning under Martin and Williams. Duff tried to get them fitter but the lazy buggers here at the time wouldn’t have it

We did it when Huw was playing director of football and it landed us in schtumm. However this could be a good gamble especially if mostly on bonuses for goal and appearances. Still don’t want to lose Vipotnik though

If Stewart comes in we will have arguably our strongest championship side since its rebranding from division two. Still need that balls out aggressive CDM though I think Lissah has the tools to do it.

One for the future or possibly his break out season. Still need a good CDM and hopefully the Algerian will quarrel with RC Lens and come here after all.
